About
Welcome to The View Fish & Chips, a delightful culinary gem nestled along the scenic South Promenade in Lytham St Annes, United Kingdom. This charming eatery not only boasts a stunning view of the coast but is also dedicated to bringing you some of the finest fish and chips you’ll ever taste.
From the moment you step inside, the modern yet inviting atmosphere captivates with its quirky decor that beautifully complements the breathtaking surroundings. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing you to soak in the picturesque scenery as you savor each bite. For those who prefer to enjoy their meal al fresco, there are picnic benches available—perfect for a sunny day by the seaside.
The menu features a selection of delectable dishes, with rave reviews highlighting the fresh and succulent haddock, perfectly crisped to golden-brown perfection. Customers have praised the fish and chips for their delightful flavor, ensuring that each forkful is a moment of joy. The addition of mushy peas, gravy, and other sides create a well-rounded meal, and it’s noteworthy that the establishment is proud to offer halal options, making it accessible for a broader audience.
On my visit, I was particularly struck by the customer service. Staff members were friendly, polite, and keen to make your experience enjoyable. The smile on their faces and willingness to accommodate left a lasting impression. It’s easy to see why patrons return repeatedly to this vibrant spot; the atmosphere is electric, characterized by a mix of locals and visitors all gathering to enjoy great food and even better views.
However, a minor hiccup noted by previous visitors was the cleanliness of the restroom facilities, which are located underneath the restaurant. While this might be a small consideration, it’s essential to ensure that all aspects of the dining experience match the high standard set by the food and service.
In conclusion, The View Fish & Chips is not just a place to eat; it’s a culinary experience that captures the heart of coastal dining. Whether you are indulging in fish and chips or enjoying a casual meal with loved ones, this eatery is sure to leave a lasting impression. With its beautiful surroundings, exceptional food, and friendly service, it’s a must-visit destination for anyone in Lytham St Annes. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu!
“ Popped in for some chips and curry sauce. Wasn’t too busy when I visited so managed to get a table no problem. You can sit inside or outside. If there’s no seating you can always sit on a bench near the view Chips were very good as was the curry sauce. Not too long of a wait for food Staff were friendly and polite Will visit again and try more of the food Only downside was the toilet (under the restaurant) they weren’t very clean. Not sure if they are general toilets or the views toilets. ”
“ One of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had! Lovely fresh well cooked haddock and chips for 10.70 each, including a lemon wedge. Modern and clean outside and inside and wooden cutlery was available for free. There is indoor seating available (indoor seating still uses takeaway boxes rather than plates), along with outdoor seating and picnic benches. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor areas but not inside. Would highly recommend! ”
“ Halal fish and chip shop at St Annes, we were so pleased as the fish and chips smelt amazing, and they tasted good too. Great little place to eat in our take out onto the beach.. ”
“ We go to The View all the time, it is absolutely fantastic. The fish and chips are second to none, fresh and succulent. Lots of options on the menu, no one will leave unsatisfied. The staff are amazing. So friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much for them. The owners have a real presence on site to ensure things are running smoothly and shipshape. There is always such an eclectic crowd, the atmosphere is magic. ”
“ First time visiting and i have to say i was beyond impressed! Start off with the food, had thier fish and chips, mushy peas, gravy and beans and i have to say for the price i paid it was worth every penny and more! The fish was crispy and fried to perfection, the chips (chefs kiss), mushy peas made fresh in store, amazing! Then moving onto the service, very polite and helpful staff..BTW its all Halal!!! Extra brownie points there! The restaurant itself.. quirky interior- Love it! I have to say the owners have appeared to go above and beyond to make the interior look beautiful given they have to compete with the views! And wow wow wow! Tasty fish and chips, beside the lake, watching the sun go down, miles of beach in front of me.. perfection.. finished off with a cup of coffee.. will not be my last visit for sure. Amazing place. ”
“ This has got to be the Friendliest fish 'n' chip shop in the UK with a view to die for across the stunning beach! We stumbled across this place and had the warmest of welcomes from all the staff, especially David. The fish had a lovely light batter and the chips were delicious. Stokes ketchup was the icing on the cake - which was complimentary unlike many others who charge extra. We were enjoying the food so much we forgot to take photos until the end! Many thanks to David and all the team - we hope to be back up this way very soon ”
“ The best fish and chips i have ever had anywhere. I normally leave the batter, not here! Cooked to perfection and served with a big slice of fresh lemon. Husband had the delicious mushy peas too. Seriously could not fault it. Good value too with stunning views. Staff first class. ”
“ Delicious Fish and Chips in a beautiful location with a great view! Had a large portion of haddock and chips, was excellent! Highly recommended. Owner and employees are very friendly as well. ”
